Course Overview:

PMP Exam Prep Kickstart is a detailed review of the nine knowledge areas as outlined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Depending on where you are in the process of obtaining your PMP certification this class will either; jumpstart your efforts and help you develop a plan for tackling the exam or be a final review before taking the exam. Either way this class will position you well for passing the exam. In addition it will provide valuable Project Management Education Hours which are required before you sit for the exam.

 

Format:

  • We will meet at a central location based on who all registers (*)
  • Class will be from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
  • The following course texts will be provided for you:
    • "PMP Exam Prep, Rita's Course in a Book for Passing the PMP Exam", 6th Edition
    • PMP Exam Prep Kickstart course manual

Optional Course Texts (you will need to purchase prior to the start of the class):

  • Recommended - A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), 4th Edition

About The Instructors:

Primary:

Allen Spradling , PMP Is a certified Project Management Professional with over 20 years experience leading complex projects through to successful completion.  Allen has served as a Project Manager, Program Manager, Branch Manager for a success consulting firm and is currently an IT Director for a national healthcare provider.  In his tenure Allen has led hundreds of projects which provide him ample illustration opportunities to connect the theoretical (PMI) with the practical (daily Project Management).  Allen has taught several IT courses for the State of Alabama and has authored several white papers on Project and Program Management.

Secondary:

Brian M. Rabon, CSM, CSP, MSEE, PMP is a certified Project Management Professional with over 13 years of software development experience. He is a regular instructor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he has been teaching Technical Project Management at the masters level for the past 3 years. In addition to his work at UAB, Brian is a course designer at Samford University, and a contract instructor for The Solutions Cube Group. Brian is the VP of Programs for Birmingham PMI and a regular instructor for their PMP Exam Prep classes.

* Contingency:

This course is contigent upon a minimun number of attendees and an attendee provding space to hold the course at no charge.

Cancellation Policy:

In order to receive a refund of your tuition for this course you must notify us no later than 5 days prior to the course start date. Cancellation requests received after the 5 day window will be issued a credit that can be applied towards a future class.
